Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound large shell pasta
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons taco seasoning or 1 packet
  • 1 cup salsa jarred
  • 3/4 cup water

Instructions

  • Cook the pasta according to the package directions, then drain and set aside.
  • In a large pan, brown the ground beef thoroughly over medium heat. Once browned, drain any excess fat.
  • Sprinkle the taco seasoning over the cooked beef and pour in the water. Stir well and allow it to simmer until the liquid has evaporated.
  • Return the cooked pasta to the pan, then add the salsa and shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Stir everything together until the cheese is fully melted and the ingredients are evenly combined.
  • Serve immediately, and for an extra crunch, top with tortilla chips if desired.
