Ingredients

Dip:

  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ¾ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 4 ounces diced jalapeños canned (drained) or fresh (see notes)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Topping:

  • 1 cup Panko bread crumbs
  • ¼ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 4 tablespoons melted butter or margarine

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, garlic powder, and sour cream together until the mixture becomes smooth and fluffy. Incorporate the shredded cheddar cheese, ¾ cup Parmesan cheese, and diced jalapeños, blending thoroughly. Transfer this creamy mixture into an 8x8 baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  • For the topping, mix the Panko bread crumbs with the melted butter, ¼ cup Parmesan cheese, and chopped parsley until fully coated. Distribute this crumb mixture evenly over the dip.
  • Place the dish in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the dip is heated through and the breadcrumbs achieve a golden-brown hue.

Notes

If substituting fresh jalapeños, use 4 to 6 peppers, roasting them until tender. Adjust the spice level by keeping the seeds for more heat or removing them for a milder flavor.
Enjoy this dip warm with crackers, chips, or fresh veggies for dipping!
